Dozens of Sragen Infrastructure Projects Remain Unfinished as the Year Ends

Sragen - The Winong Bridge project in Gondang, Sragen, costing Rp 5.7 billion, has now been completed. Meanwhile, dozens of other infrastructure projects remain under the Sragen Regency Government's attention as 2025 draws to a close.

The Head of Highways at the Sragen Public Works Department, Aribowo Sulistyo, explained that of the total 110 work packages (combined from the Determination and Amendments to the Regional Budget), the majority are nearly 100 percent complete. However, around 20 packages are currently in the final stages of completion.

"All work must be completed by December 31st. Contractors who miss the deadline will be subject to late payment fines," he said, while attending the inauguration of the Winong Elok Bridge in Gondang on Tuesday (December 23rd).

One of the strategic projects at a crucial point is the Jenar-Nyadri route, funded through provincial financial assistance (bankeu). He said the main challenge currently is the scheduling of ready-mix materials.

"Weather conditions are still considered quite conducive for physical construction," he said.

With the remaining time, the Public Works Agency (DPU) is optimistic that all road and bridge access in Sragen will soon be available to the public. The project will be fully completed before the end of the year.

Regent Sigit Pamungkas acknowledged that there are still several projects that have not been completed by the end of this year. He aims for all projects to be 100% complete by the end of this year, with no delays.

"Based on monitoring and reports from the Head of the Agency, our infrastructure development is still on schedule. If there are any issues, they can be addressed immediately. The bottom line is that we are working to complete everything before the end of this year," said Sigit Pamungkas.
