Remind Construction and Project Material Truck Drivers to Use Tarpaulins
BANDA ACEH - The Transportation Agency of Banda Aceh City has warned drivers and operators of trucks transporting land and project materials that pass through and enter city roads and to use tarpaulins. The statement was conveyed by the Head of Transportation Agency of Banda Aceh City, Wahyudi SSTP, through the Head of Safety Development and Supervision, Aqil Perdana Kesuma SH MH.
Aqil said there were still trucks passing by ignoring the safety of other road users. Therefore, Aqil said that every truck transporting land and project materials must use a cover for the material being transported. If not heeded will be punished. Entering the city and passing through protocol roads must comply with the provisions of the applicable Traffic Law," said Aqil.
Dishub appealed to the dum truck fleet to use standard operating procedures (SOP) when crossing and carrying out activities to transport soil and other building materials. In Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning LLAJ, vehicles transporting land and other materials that cause dust and odor must and must use a tub cover using a tarpaulin, said Aqil.
Then in Article 307 of the LLAJ Law it reads: Everyone who drives a motorized vehicle for public transport of goods that does not comply with the provisions regarding loading procedures, then carrying capacity, vehicle dimensions as referred to in Article 169 paragraph (1) shall be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 2 months. or a maximum fine of IDR 500,000.
The Banda Aceh City Government has also issued provisions regarding Road Order and Road Transport Order and has also been regulated in Banda Aceh City Qanun Number 6 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Public Order and Community Order, in Chapter VII Road Order and Road Transport Article 25 every person and/or or entity is prohibited; transporting building materials without being equipped with safety equipment, polluting and damaging roads as a result of a project activity.
The Banda Aceh City Transportation Service together with the Banda Aceh Police Satlantas will take action. If a truck carrying soil and other materials is found that does not cover the dump truck with a tarpaulin," said Aqil.
