Long Traffic Jam on Merak KM 56 Toll Road Caused by Rolling Tires Broken Truck
Jakarta- A single accident occurred on the Jakarta – Merak toll road, precisely KM 56. The truck numbered B 9329 UYX experienced a tire burst and rolled over. As a result of the incident, access to Merak was blocked.
"The truck broke the rear tire which was on the right," said the head of the main PJR Serang, Kompol Wiratno to Kabar6.com, Tuesday (18/10/2022).
According to him, officers are trying to quickly unravel the congestion. Therefore, to evacuate the trucks, officers must deploy heavy equipment or excavators.
"Traffic flow had stalled for up to 1 kilometer," explained Wiratno. Based on the information the truck driver was driving in lane one.
Suddenly there was a loud explosion accompanied by the truck swaying. The overturned truck with wheels is in the middle of the highway with the head of the truck facing the west side.
“The mutants spilled all as a result of that single accident. There were no casualties and the loss could be estimated at 5 million rupiah," said Wiratno.
