There are Extortionists on the Mine Truck Trail

BOGOR – There are still many reports from the public regarding mining trucks passing during community activity hours on Jalan Parungpanjang, Bogor Regency, getting responses from PLT Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan.

Iwan Setiawan said that the Perbut issued by the Bogor Regency government must be firmly implemented in the field so that there are no customers from naughty truck drivers.

"The Mining Perbup from Bogor Regency is firm, I ask that the field officers, both Satpol PP and Dishub, take firm action," said Iwan Setiawan to West Java Express, Sunday, October 16, 2022.

In December 2021, the Bogor Regency Government issued Regent Regulation (Perbup) No. 120 of 2021 regarding mining truck operating hours that apply to all areas in Bogor Regency.

The Perbup clearly stipulates that mining trucks may only pass between 20.00 and 05.00 WIB.

The Gerindra Party politician ordered field officers to take action against illegal extortionists and truck drivers who play outside the operational hours that have been determined in Perbup Number 120 of 2021.

"If there's not a lot of news about truck drivers and extortionists playing again, if they are caught, we'll take action. We don't have any evidence," he said

Previously, the Head of the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency, Agus Ridho, spoke about the Dishub officers in the field.

He admitted that there was still a shortage of personnel to guard the mine route.

"It's a lack of personnel. The problem is that we don't have any additional personnel," said Agus Ridho

He added that the Transportation Agency had already carried out a vehicle turning operation and also dispatched a mining truck driver who operated outside operating hours.

Meanwhile, the Head of Trantib Pol PP of Parung Panjang Sub-district said that there were still many mining trucks passing during community activity hours, if the sub-district Pol PP was not active.

"We are not slack. The Satpol PP must be at the forefront when there are reports from the public, we take action," he said.

Regarding the number of personnel, he said that it was sufficient so that it would not become an obstacle to curbing naughty mining trucks, only that he said that the authority to rotate trucks was in the Dishub and the police.

"If the law enforcement is with us, turning our vehicle around will only help," he concluded

Meanwhile, a resident who did not want to be named, revealed that there were individuals who played with the mining truck drivers so that they could pass outside the hours regulated by the Perbup.

"At that time, 150 thousand drivers paid per unit, now it's 75 thousand, but I don't know where the extortion came from," he explained

He asked the relevant officers to be more firm in taking steps so that the mining truck drivers do not arbitrarily pass by.

"If it's afternoon or morning, it's a pity for school children to get hit by dust. Moreover, if it rains, many will fall slippery," he concluded.
