Truck Carrying Liquid Fertilizer Weighing 5 Tons Overturned
Jogyakarta - A truck overturned on Jalan Dlingo, Bantul, DI Yogyakarta Friday afternoon 22 December 2023.
The truck with plate number L 9929 AC, driven by Wagiyo (55), a resident of Kedunganyar, Wringinanom District, Gresik Regency, East Java, was carrying 5 tons of liquid fertilizer.
"The traffic accident occurred when a truck loaded with liquid fertilizer weighing 5 tons was traveling from the west (Imogiri) to the east (Dlingo) at medium speed. "When we arrived at the location, we took a curved and descending road," said Head of Public Relations of the Bantul Police, Iptu I Nengah Jeffry, Friday.
Said, because the driver did not control the road, it caused the accident.
"Because the driver had not yet memorized the terrain when he previously entered second gear and then intended to shift into first gear. However, the vehicle had already lost control in neutral gear. "The vehicle was going faster and the driver tried to swerve to the right and hit a road divider and telephone pole, causing it to roll to the right and a single traffic accident occurred," he explained.
Due to this incident, the truck was damaged in several locations.
“There were no casualties. "The car was damaged, the front cabin was dented, the windshield was broken, the right headlight was broken, the front bumper was bent, the right door was dented and the tub was sent," he concluded.
