Dishub Kotawaringin Barat Reprimands Sand Trucks Not Covering Loading Beds

Personnel from the Transportation Agency (Dishub) of West Kotawaringin Regency (Kobar) conducted routine patrols on several road sections in Pangkalan Bun City on Wednesday (15/4). During the operation, officers found a sand transport vehicle that was not covering its cargo bed while passing through Samari Street.

Head of the Goods Transport Section at Dishub Kobar, Saepul Anwar, who participated in the patrol, stated that the sand-loaded truck was immediately given a verbal warning because it had the potential to endanger other road users, especially motorcyclists.

“We found a truck transporting sand that was not covering its cargo bed. This can certainly disturb other road users, particularly motorcyclists, because the sand or dust can scatter and pose a danger,” said Saepul.

He emphasized that his agency had issued a warning to the driver of the vehicle and urged all material transport drivers to always cover their cargo beds when operating on public roads.

“We urge vehicles carrying sand, soil, stones, or similar materials to always cover their cargo beds while operating. This is so that the load does not spill and disturb other road users,” he stressed.

Through this routine patrol, Dishub Kobar hopes that material transport drivers will be more disciplined in complying with traffic safety regulations, in order to create safe and comfortable road conditions for all road users.
