Iveco Strator 2026 Officially Debuts, Marking the Return of Europe's Legendary Long-Nose Truck
The Truckstar Festival 2026 served as the stage for the unveiling of the Iveco Schouten All-New Strator 2026. Exactly two decades after its original debut in 2006, the iconic long-nose (torpedo-style) truck has officially made its comeback.
The new Strator combines the unmistakable long-hood styling with the modern architecture of the Iveco S-Way platform. Its launch further cements the Strator's reputation as Europe's most exclusive custom-built truck.
The history of Iveco's long-nose trucks dates back to the 1950s. Magirus introduced the Rundhauber model, which remained in production until 1970, followed by the iconic Eckhauber that continued serving the European market into the early 1980s.
A major milestone came in 1992 when Iveco acquired International Trucks Australia. This strategic move gave rise to legendary highway giants such as the 7800 Roadtrain and PowerStar.
In 2006, Charles Feijts Workshop combined an Iveco Stralis chassis with a PowerStar cab. This unique fusion created the Strator, a truck that quickly became legendary among transport operators.
Twenty years later, the Strator 2026 has been redeveloped with meticulous engineering precision. Its aerodynamic composite hood was designed in collaboration with veteran engineers from Spyker Cars.
The project also involved Arens Vehicle Design of Belgium. Together, they successfully preserved the Strator's signature long-nose profile while seamlessly integrating it with the contemporary design language of the Iveco S-Way.
Production of the All-New Strator is centralized at the manufacturing facility in Born, the Netherlands. This historic plant is also the birthplace of the original Strator introduced two decades ago.
Although Charles Feijts became part of the Iveco Schouten Group in 2025, the truck continues to be built with the same high level of craftsmanship. Skilled specialists carefully hand-finish each vehicle to maintain exceptional quality standards.
As a true long-nose truck fully compliant with European regulations, the Strator is available in multiple configurations. Its spacious and ergonomic cab is based on the flagship Iveco S-Way cabin, offering outstanding driver comfort.
With the cab positioned behind the engine, vibrations are significantly reduced while interior noise levels remain remarkably low. The cabin also features a fully digital instrument cluster and an executive-class sleeping compartment.
Beneath its composite hood lies the efficient 13.0-liter (13,000 cc) Iveco xCursor 13 diesel engine. The advanced powertrain is offered in three output levels: 460 hp, 500 hp, and 580 hp.
One of its key advantages is its EGR-free operation, relying instead on Iveco's HI-SCR emissions system. This technology effectively reduces cooling demands while improving fuel efficiency.
Power is delivered smoothly through the latest-generation ZF TraXon automated transmission. Features such as adaptive shifting, Eco-Roll, and GPS predictive cruise control further optimize on-road performance and efficiency.
The Strator is offered in four chassis configurations, ranging from 4×2 to heavy-duty 6×4 variants. Advanced technologies including MirrorCam and GSR II radar systems reinforce its position as a showcase of European engineering excellence.
With the introduction of the Iveco All-New Strator Model Year 2026, Iveco has done more than revive a legendary nameplate—it has established a new benchmark for the future of professionally built custom trucks across Europe.
