For Mr Prabowo, because the president has great authority, he can really entrust the agenda of eradicating corruption because I know him and the door has never been opened for corruption crimes. He is too distant from corrupt behavior. Very far!

He revealed crazy mark-ups. And he reports to the president specifically. Just at the start of President Jokowi's second term, he found a minister in a ministry with a very large budget, reporting honestly on budget mafia practices that were detrimental to state finances.
This is one of the reasons why they are close. Mr Prabowo honestly conveyed to the president that the mark-up for procurement of defense equipment could reach dozens of times, which means thousands of percent. He told the president the figure was around 51 trillion. This is a FANTASTIC number that he saved the first year!
Now we can imagine, if there is a rescue of all departments and ministries as well as government agencies that have been controlled by the budget mafia, of course the leakage of state finances will produce quite large funds for the welfare of our people.
Mr Probowo is very obsessed with saving the state's financial leaks. This has been his campaign theme since he first ran as a presidential candidate. This may be a legacy from Mr. Soemitro, his father, who exposed leaks during the New Order in front of the ISEI assembly in 1993 in Surabaya.
This theme of leaks was once ridiculed during the previous presidential election period, but now Mr. Jokowi sees firsthand Mr. Prabowo's persistence in securing leaks in state finances and also leaks of state assets. This was the beginning of a downstream idea that shocked the world.
I heard many things that Mr. Prabowo reported to Mr. Jokowi that made them very close. And these things will also become the basis for state institutional reform to resolve the corrupt behavior of officials.
Mr Prabowo sometimes simplifies the eradication of corruption by providing adequate living conditions for state officials. But increasingly, if we want to close the hole in corrupt behavior, welfare will become a big, gaping hole.
Don't let us formally be proud of the low salaries and living standards of our officials on paper, but at the same time they are guerrillas using their position and influence to earn extra money illegally. This is a big hole of corruption.
Prabowo is not someone who can be talked to about eradicating corruption. He will be very harsh if this corrupt behavior continues without a way out. There must be a final and straightforward path and he showed this in his attitude when leading state institutions.
