Unplugged Performance Unveils Off-Road Version of Tesla Cybertruck

Self-proclaimed leader in Tesla customization, Unplugged Performance, known for its performance-oriented Model S modifications, has unveiled a new variant for the Tesla Cybertruck. Due to its proximity to Tesla’s design studio in Hawthorne, California, Unplugged Performance has a special relationship with Tesla.

Almost immediately after Elon Musk announced the Cybertruck, Unplugged quickly unveiled a customization for the steel truck. Since Unplugged is close to Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink, the company often releases customization parts for various models long before its competitors. Unplugged Performance CEO Ben Shaffer said of the Cybertruck customization, “This is a carefully crafted and comprehensive approach to unlocking the maximum potential of the beast that is the Cybertruck. We’ll be shipping some of these items to our first customers as early as next week.”

Unplugged’s customization helps change the look of the Cybertruck, making it look even more massive and rugged. Parts offered include a 2.5-inch lift kit for $9,995 USD (all prices are in U.S. dollars). Unplugged says there is no risk of overloading the air shocks, and the correct wheel alignment and toe-out values will remain the same. The Tesla Cybertruck's air suspension functionality remains unchanged.

Heavy-duty rear bumpers and a heavy-duty trailer hitch can be added for $3,995. They replace the stock plastic rear bumper and trailer hitch receiver with stronger Unplugged Performance INVINCIBLE® steel parts.

The Invincible HD front bumper is priced at $2,995. And the front and rear carbon fiber fender flares are $2,895. The HD side steps are $2,795. “This protection system completely replaces the factory plastic units with durable, protective carbon steel parts, including bolt-on modular side steps for unmatched strength and protection for the stainless steel chassis and batteries.”

The underbody armor, priced at $2,295, is described as providing “ribbed protection for your truck’s enjoyment.”

Other add-ons include a Starship Starlink mount, a sliding cargo box storage system, sway bar spacers, high-performance brake pads, street and off-road rotors, an HD roof rack, three wheel options, and a forged wheel and tire package ranging from $75 USD to $2,291 USD.
