Deputy Governor of Aceh Greets Truck Drivers with Foreign License Plates at the Peak of Geurutee

Aceh Jaya – Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah greeted truck drivers with non-Aceh license plates passing by the summit of Mount Geurutee on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Fadhlullah made this remark while relaxing and resting after a motorcycle tour from Banda Aceh with Aceh Police Chief Marzuki Ali Basyah at a hut along Mount Geurutee Road.

Deputy Governor Fadhlullah greeted two trucks with non-Aceh license plates. One had a BK license plate and the other a BA license plate.

Due to traffic congestion, the two truck drivers slowed down so the Deputy Governor could get up from his seat to greet them.

The Deputy Governor casually greeted the drivers: "Have you eaten yet?"

The Deputy Governor then gave the drivers some money for lunch. "This is for lunch, please."

On that occasion, the Deputy Governor also reassured the two truck drivers about driving safety in Aceh.

"It's safe in Aceh, right? No one stops to change license plates, right?" asked the Deputy Governor.

The driver, with a beaming smile, replied confidently, "It's safe, sir!"
