GIICOMVEC 2026 Commercial Vehicle Exhibition

Jakarta - The GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) 2026 is being held by the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO). Commercial vehicles are the focus of this business-to-business expo. The Republic of Indonesia's Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Transportation are supporting this show.

This year's show will take place at Hall B of the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) in Kemayoran, Jakarta, from April 8–11, 2026, using a bigger and more strategic space. In an attempt to meet the industry's increasing interest, GAIKINDO chose this new site. Additionally, the new location seeks to make contemporary transit options more accessible to corporate players.

Export numbers have actually increased despite the difficulties facing Indonesia's automobile sector. In fact, exports have reached a record level. Export performance is now a crucial pillar of the country's industrial growth due to this strengthening. This also applies to the commercial vehicle industry, which contributes strategically.

518,212 CBU automobiles were exported in total to 93 destination nations in 2025. Compared to 472,194 units in 2024, this number climbed by 9.75 percent. 20,326 automobiles, or about 40% of all exports, were commercial vehicles. Today, a number of Indonesia's top commercial vehicle categories are operating stalwarts in the global market.

GAIKINDO Chairman Putu Juli Ardika stressed the significance of sustaining development momentum by fortifying the manufacturing base. The world has acknowledged the quality of Indonesian automobile manufacture, as evidenced by the record-breaking export accomplishment in 2025.

Putu stated, "Increasing production volume is crucial to ensure the Indonesian vehicle industry has a strong supply base to meet growing global demand while also strengthening our position in the global automotive supply chain."

It is anticipated that 1.2 million cars would be produced in Indonesia by 2025. It is anticipated that production would keep increasing. GAIKINDO is certain that this production absorption will optimize the 2.59 million units that the Indonesian automobile sector can produce annually.

An important chance to accomplish this goal is the 2026 GIICOMVEC. The GIICOMVEC, a business-to-business expo, acts as a link between the country's automobile sector and prospective local and foreign consumers. It is anticipated that the participation of foreign consumers at this show would help Indonesian commercial vehicle goods gain recognition and usage in additional nations.

"Export figures can continue to grow and make a greater contribution to the accomplishments of the Indonesian automotive industry by expanding the market network through this exhibition," he stated.
