Leapmotor T03 LCV Launched: A Tiny Electric Commercial Vehicle

 The urban logistics world has entered a new chapter with the arrival of the Leapmotor T03 LCV, a pure-electric light commercial vehicle specifically designed to tackle the challenges of goods delivery in congested city routes.

Developed from the popular T03 passenger car platform, this LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) version demonstrates Leapmotor’s ambition to expand electric mobility from the private consumer market into the professional sector.

Its presence is a perfect solution for small business owners and delivery operators who need a zero-emission vehicle with high operational efficiency and significantly lower maintenance costs compared to conventional combustion-engine vehicles.

In terms of dimensions, the Leapmotor T03 LCV measures 3,620 mm in length, 1,652 mm in width, and 1,577 mm in height. It is purposely designed to be highly maneuverable in narrow streets and heavy urban traffic.

The main focus of this variant is the transformation of the rear cabin area — previously equipped with a 3-row passenger seat — into a dedicated cargo space with a volume of up to 657 liters.

With a maximum payload capacity of 220 kg, the vehicle offers a smart solution for last-mile delivery operations that require a balance between compact size and practical loading capacity.

Its exterior has also been given a tougher, more professional look with the addition of 15-inch black steel wheels, available in three elegant color options: Caribbean Blue, Light White, and Canopy Grey.

Leapmotor has not sacrificed driver comfort for the sake of functionality alone. The interior of the T03 LCV remains modern, featuring an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen that serves as the control hub for various features.

During delivery runs, drivers are pampered with integrated digital services such as online navigation, 4G connectivity, voice control, and over-the-air (OTA) system updates.

Furthermore, through the Leapmotor app, fleet managers can remotely monitor charging status, adjust cabin temperature, and track the vehicle’s precise location.

Despite its compact stature, the Leapmotor T03 LCV packs impressive technical specifications to support daily commercial activities while minimizing downtime during working hours.

The vehicle is equipped with a 37.3 kWh battery and an electric motor that delivers 95 hp and 158 Nm of instant torque. This combination provides a driving range of up to 256 km according to WLTP certification.

For charging, the vehicle is highly flexible, supporting AC charging up to 6.6 kW and DC fast charging up to 45 kW. This allows the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% in approximately 36 minutes.

Safety is also a top priority, with a comprehensive ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) package. Features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Detection come as standard.

The vehicle is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in the summer of 2026, with a starting price of 14,590 Euros (approximately Rp 294 million). It is set to redefine the standard for electric commercial vehicles in the global market.

Interestingly, Leapmotor’s vision to revolutionize electric mobility is not limited to the European market. The company is also preparing to expand its presence in Indonesia through PT Indomobil National Distributor.
