Hino Reveals the Secret to Accident-Free Trucks and Buses Through Latest Monitoring Technology
The commercial transportation sector is entering a new era where fleet productivity no longer depends solely on tough engines, but also on advanced human oversight and precise maintenance. Recognizing this, PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI), in collaboration with Politeknik Transportasi Darat Bali (Poltrada Bali), the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT), and PT Cahaya Surya Bali Indah (CSBI), initiated a strategic move through a transportation safety seminar.
Held at the Poltrada Bali campus in Tabanan on May 11, 2026, the main focus of this collaboration is integrating driver monitoring technology into fleet management to reduce accident risks while optimizing operations.
In the commercial vehicle industry — whether pickups, trucks, or buses — safety is seen not merely as regulatory compliance, but as a vital instrument to minimize downtime and sustain business continuity. Through this forum, business players and academics discussed real on-the-ground challenges and best practices for vehicle maintenance to keep fleets productive.
“Collaboration with industry players like Hino is a positive step in strengthening the quality of education and transportation safety practices,” said Firga Ariani, Director of Poltrada Bali, on Tuesday (12/5/2026).
“Vocational education in the transportation sector plays an important role in creating competent human resources ready to face the challenges of the modern transportation industry,” she added.
From the national oversight perspective, Senior Investigator from the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT), Ahmad Wildan, emphasized that creating a safe road ecosystem cannot be done partially.
“Safety is a shared responsibility. Transportation safety cannot be placed on only one party, but requires collaboration between operators, drivers, industry, regulators, and the community to build a better safety culture,” he asserted.
In line with its Total Support spirit, Hino is committed not only to selling vehicles but also to ensuring those vehicles deliver maximum value to owners through continuous education and after-sales service.
Tomoki Hattori, Marketing Director of HMSI, highlighted the importance of this synergy, explaining that the company’s focus covers both human and technical aspects simultaneously. He emphasized that for Hino, safety is not just about the vehicle, but also about ensuring customers’ operations run safely, efficiently, and productively.
“That is why Hino continues to support increased safety awareness through education, proper vehicle maintenance management, and driver competency development,” explained Hattori.
Through the official partnership between Hino Academy and Poltrada, bus and truck entrepreneurs in Bali now have easier access to professional driver training and standardized vehicle maintenance management.
