Hino Showcases Electric Truck Technology Through the Hino Dutro Z EV
Tangerang - 40 Years of Hino Indonesia, Past, Present, Future became the basic theme of Hino at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2022 which took place from 11 – 21 August 2022 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang.
At GIIAS 2022, Hino displayed several vehicles, both trucks and buses, in a booth covering an area of 760 square meters. Among them are Hino Ranger FM 280 JD Mining Spec, Hino Bus GB 150 AT, Ranger FMX 280 Tractor Head, Hino Ranger FLX 280 JW (8X2), Hino200 Series (Future Product), and Hino Dutro Z EV.
For the latest vehicles, at this GIIAS Hino launched the Ranger FMX 280 Tractor Head and Ranger FLX 280 JW (8X2). Not only that, Hino also introduced future product innovations, namely the Hino200 Series. It has a length of about 3 meters, and a wheelbase of 2,545mm and a GVW of 3.4 tons.
Hino200 Series Has a power of 144PS / 3,400rpm with a Euro4 engine with a 5-speed transmission. This truck can come with box or flat deck body applications.
Hino Motors Sales Indonesia also introduced the Hino Dutro 136 HDL 6×2 concept, which will be coming soon. Where the truck is the first light duty truck in Indonesia with a 6×2 or 10 wheel configuration. Has a Gross Vehicle Weight of up to 14 Tons, making it have good accessibility when operating on narrow roads. This Hino Dutro 136 HDL 6×2 is very suitable for CPO tank body applications.
Most special at GIIAS 2022, Hino showcases electric truck technology through the Hino Dutro Z EV. Using a Lithium Ion battery with a capacity of 40 kWh for distribution of power to the electric motor. Hino Dutro Z EV uses the normal type of AC charging type 1 with 5 hours or quick charging DC CHAdeMo with a full charge time in just 1 hour. This truck is capable of covering a distance of more than 100 km in full condition and has a payload of up to 1 Ton.
Hino Dutro Z EV has a low chassis, to make it easier to get in and out of goods and the driver enters the cabin. In addition, there are many safety features like luxury cars such as Pre-Collision Safety (PCS), Electric Parking Brake, Clearance Sonar, Erroneous Start Prevention Function, and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
