JAKARTA - PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) presents an electric truck, the Hino Dutro Z EV, at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) exhibition.

Hino displays the readiness of electric truck technology through the Hino Dutro Z EV, using a Lithium Ion battery type with a capacity of 40 kWh for power distribution to electric motors.

"Hino Dutro Z EV uses the normal type AC charging type 1 with 5 hours or quick charging DC CHAdeMo with a full charge time in just 1 hour," said HMSI President Director Masato Uchida at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Thursday (11/8/). 2022).

Then, he explained, this truck is capable of traveling more than 100 kilometers (km) in full condition and has a carrying capacity of up to 1 ton.

"Of course the Hino Dutro Z EV has the advantage of being environmentally friendly or zero emission as well as smooth sound and vibration," said Masato.

The Hino Dutro Z EV has a low chassis, to make it easier to get in and out of goods and make it easier for the driver to enter the cabin.

In addition, there are safety features such as Pre-Collision Safety (PCS) to warn when a collision is possible from the front, electric parking brake, clearance sonar to detect obstacles when the car is gassed suddenly due to the wrong pedal.

"Meanwhile, the erroneous start prevention function is to prevent errors in pressing the gas and brake pedals, as well as the lane departure warning system (LDWS) which is a system of safety aids on vehicles that can detect sudden lane changes," he concluded.

PT Hino also released four engines with Euro 4 emission standards, including the Hino Dutro light-duty truck, Hino Ranger medium-duty truck, Hino Profia heavy-duty truck and Hino Bus.

Especially for Hino Dutro, HMSI provides changes to the exterior and interior, and of course to the performance section that is more environmentally friendly.

The exterior of the Hino Dutro comes with several changes, such as the front grille design and changes to the headlight cover which are now integrated and more stylish. The front bumper is also redesigned to adjust the position of the fog lamps, making it more dynamic.

In addition, there is the addition of a mirror cover on the rearview mirror holder which is useful for preventing theft. Design changes are also found in the interior, where there is a change in the color of the dashboard, door trim and seats which are now brown which gives the impression of luxury, comfort and modernity.

All these new design changes give it a fresh and dynamic look. Hino Dutro itself has a tough chassis, because it has a chassis without connections, there are reinforcing rivets above the frame and a thick chassis profile.
