At the GIICOMVEC 2026, PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) launched the Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4×4, specifically designed to support operations in difficult terrain, such as plantations and mining manhauls. This bus is highly robust and capable of traversing various extreme terrain conditions. Furthermore, this bus is specifically designed to transport employees from the mess hall to work sites with extreme terrain.

This vehicle differs from regular buses because it is equipped with a 4×4 drive system, which allows the transfer case to split power between the front and rear wheels in off-road conditions.

Furthermore, this bus has high ground clearance for safely traversing difficult, steep, rocky, and uphill roads. Furthermore, the front stabilizer bar and wider front wheel track enhance vehicle stability and reduce body roll.

Alex Sutisna, Vice President Director of HMSI, stated that the company aims to provide a safe and reliable transportation solution for plantation and mining companies through the latest Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4×4, which enables worker mobility in work environments with difficult terrain.

"Hino understands that every vehicle plays a vital role in maintaining our customers' business operations, so we continue to provide reliable commercial vehicle solutions tailored to the needs of various industrial sectors," said Alex on Wednesday (April 8, 2026).

The Hino 136 MDBL 4x4 bus uses a Euro4-compliant N04C engine and is designed for intensive operation for up to 24 hours in demanding work environments.

Furthermore, the only vehicle in its class, the Hino 136 MDBL 4x4 bus, manufactured by an ATPM (Indonesian Industrial Plant Manufacturer) and holds a Type Test Certificate (SUT), allowing it to be fueled and legally operated on public roads. This advantage allows the unit to be used in a variety of ways, for both on- and off-road operations.

Hino introduced its latest variants, including the Hino 500 Series FM 280 JD, known for its robust capabilities as a heavy-duty dump truck, and the Hino 500 Series FLX 280 JW, designed to meet the needs of logistics and distribution operations.

Visitors can see the Hino 300 Series 136 MDLR, designed to facilitate vehicle distribution across various cargo industries. The Hino 700 Series ZY 5041 dump truck and the Hino 700 Series ZS 4141 chassis are available for outdoor use.

These two vehicles demonstrate the use of Hino vehicles in heavy industries such as mining. Hino also displayed a demonstration vehicle, the Hino 300 Series 136 HDX Fire Fighter, demonstrating the flexibility of the Hino chassis for various specialized customer applications.
