Cement Loading Truck Slips into the Road in Tabanan

Tabanan - Another single accident occurred on the Denpasar-Gilimanuk route. Precisely at the incline of Samsam Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, Friday (16/9/2022) evening at around 18.00 WITA.


This time, a truck loaded with about 31 tons of cement slid backwards and fell off the road. Luckily, there were no fatalities in this accident.

"There were no casualties. The driver is safe," said Kerambitan Police Chief, AKP Ni Luh Komang Sri Subakti, when confirmed Saturday (17/9/2022.

He said that prior to the incident, the truck with plate W 8468 EU and driven by Haryanto (45) from Gresik, East Java, was en route from Gilimanuk to Denpasar. When entering an incline turning to the left, the truck failed to pass.

The truck driver tried to control the vehicle by pressing the brakes. However, the maneuver attempted by the driver failed and the truck fell off the road on the left side.

“This incident did not disrupt the flow of traffic. The situation of traffic flow is relatively congested but smooth on each lane,” concluded Sri Subakti.

In fact, one electric pole collapsed due to hitting the body of the green truck with the police number DK 8090 DA. Traffic at the scene was also stopped.

"But the traffic flow has returned to normal after the pole was evacuated by PLN and Telkom officers," explained Kerambitan Police Chief, AKP Ni Luh Komang Sri Subakti.
