Two Trucks Accident at Bakauheni Port, Lampung
South Lampung - Two trucks transporting fertilizers crashed in front of the tollgate Pier 5 Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, Wednesday (14/9/2022) at around 18.15 WIB.
The truck with police number B 2013 PEJ driven by Subur (53), a resident of Tegal, crashed into the back of the Fuso B 9619 PEI truck driven by Karyoto (40), a resident of Batang Regency.
The head of the Bakauheni KSKP, AKP Ridho Rafika, explained that there were no casualties in this incident.
The two vehicles each carrying 45 tons of fertilizer are still at the location. The evacuation process was constrained by the weight of the load.
The accident is suspected to have been caused by the B 2013 PEJ truck having failed brakes due to hot brake linings.
The truck drove towards gate 5 of the regular dock, where at that time there was a B 9619 PEI truck that was scanning the barcode.
"So the vehicle with the brake failed hit the back of the truck," he said.
