The new Valdai 18 truck is now on sale: prices and equipment

 Applications are now open for cabover trucks of Russian production. The total weight of the new product is 18 tons, the load capacity is up to 12 tons. 

There are three wheelbase options, the shortest isothermal van costs from eight million rubles. There is no alternative to the equipment: an 8-speed Fast Gear manual transmission is combined with a 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel (261 hp, 956 Nm). 

The Valdai-18 is localized in Russia: a full-cycle assembly is organized in Nizhny Novgorod, including welding and painting of cabins. So far, three wheelbase options are available (4800, 5750 and 6100 mm), but over time, five chassis specifications will be available. 

Currently, the basic configuration includes rear air suspension, a cabin with a sleeper, a sprung driver's seat with four adjustments, cruise control and air conditioning. Refrigerated trucks, Euro platforms, flatbed trucks with a manipulator are already leaving the plant, and over time, the number of add-ons will increase. 

Gradually, the range will be expanded due to utilitarian versions with a regular "city" cabin and spring rear suspension. The prospect is an in-depth localization of the model and the transition to domestic units. The service interval is 20 thousand kilometers, a three-year warranty with no mileage limitation. 

The next new product of the Gorky Automobile Plant may be the Valdai 33 with a 6x4 wheel arrangement in the form of a construction dump truck. And the firstborn of the sub-brand - the Valdai 45 tractor is already being adapted to the domestic turbodiesel YaMZ-770.
