Fruit Loading Truck Rolls Over in Residents' Homeyard
A fruit truck overturned on Jalan Raya Genteng - Kalibaru on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in the morning. The incident when the truck overturned occurred east of SDN 1 Tegalharjo, Glenmore District at around 04.00 WIB in the morning.
According to the Kalibaru Police Chief, through the Head of the Aipda Traffic Unit, Aries Prasetiyanto, the truck overturned was caused by avoiding other vehicles. The overturned truck was driven by Surya Agustinus (35), a resident of Glangang Pakisaji Hamlet, Malang City who was on his way to deliver fruit loads.
"This truck carrying dragon fruit and oranges was driving from the east. At the scene there was a chicken truck driving from the opposite direction going too far to the right, so the Mitsubishi driver tried to avoid by swerving to the left," he explained.
As a result, the fruit truck swayed and fell off the asphalt. Unfortunately, the driver from Malang happened because the truck rolled over in a resident's yard.
"Because the height of the road with the shoulder of the road is too high, the vehicle tilts and rolls to the left in the residents' yard," explained Aipda Aries Prasetiyanto.
The incident that overturned the truck did not result in any casualties. The driver only suffered minor injuries in the form of abrasions on the legs.
"For trucks not to hit the house only hit the fence and plants," he explained.
Meanwhile, the cargo of the truck also spilled onto the ground due to the overturned position of the truck. Fortunately, the location is in the yard of a resident's house.
