The 2014 Trail of Missions by Desert Assassins
The 2014 Trail of Missions by Desert Assassins, hosted by trophy truck driver Cameron Steele, took place between June 24th to the 30th. The trip was a rigorous 1,600 mile outing from Tecate to Cabo along the Baja California Peninsula visiting several Spanish Mission locations. Attending the Trail of Missions were companies Addictive Desert Designs, Currie Enterprises, Fox Shox, and Monster Energy as well as others.
The Trip
The purpose of the trip was to visit several of the Spanish Missions along the Baja California Peninsula and give back to the communities in these locations. Various donations were made to the residents including clothing, hygiene products, and toys for the children. Some of the locations visited during the trip included San Javier, San Borja, Loreto, San Vicente, and El Datil.
Of course during this expedition the trip consisted of 1,300 miles of high speed off-road terrain, which made for a once in a lifetime experience. Traveling upwards of 60 miles per hour along the rugged Baja terrain no other Ford Raptor excursion has ever matched the breadth of the Trail of Missions.
This type of experience allowed Currie Enterprises and Addictive Desert Designs to put their products to the test. Addictive Desert Designs tested out their new Replacement Spindle for the Ford Raptor as well as their new Lower Control Arm, while Currie Enterprises was able to test their complete rear axle for the Ford Raptor. All products were Baja tested and Baja Approved with the trip ending in success.
