The accident incident between a CPO truck and a truck carrying oil palm fruit occurred on Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 72, Bukit Raya Village, Cempaga Hulu District, East Kotawaringin Regency (Kotim).

According to a passing motorist named Tasrifin via whatapp video information, the chronology of the incident is not yet known. When he passed at around 07.00 WIB, he saw the CPO truck overturned and its contents spilled onto the road.

"CPO oil spilled onto the road causing slippery roads, while the palm fruit also scattered, causing traffic jams," said Tasrifin, Saturday, September 10, 2022.

He also reminded motorists who are going through the road either from Sampit to Palangka Raya or vice versa to be careful because the road around the incident became slippery due to the CPO spill.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cempaga Hulu Sector Police, Ipda Ahmad Januar, said that he had visited the scene and reported it to the East Kotim Police Traffic Traffic Unit.

"We have visited and reported it to the accident unit," said Januar when confirmed.

It is known from information in the field that the driver of the CPO tanker truck with the police number KH 8687 HA is named Jhon Prawida (41) while the driver of the oil transport truck is named Andre (50).

The accident started when John's truck drove from the direction of Palangka Raya to Sampit, when he arrived at the location where the road was cornering he fell asleep so he took the road to the right, from the opposite direction came the truck driven by Andre.

When a collision was about to occur, the two of them had to swerve to avoid it, but because the distance was so close that it hit the side of the vehicle so that one of the trucks overturned and was damaged. The two drivers were then taken to the Cempaga Hulu Health Center for further medical treatment.
