Construction of a Mining Truck Special Line in Bogor

Bogor - The resolution of the mining truck problem that often fights for roads with the community in Parungpanjang and Rumpin, Bogor Regency has now come to light. West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil ensured that mining trucks will have a special route to go through to Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) III, so that they no longer pass through arterial roads.


Ridwan Kamil confirmed that the West Java Provincial Government will build a special lane for mining vehicles in the form of a paid toll road with a length of up to 13 kilometers. The man who is familiarly called Kang Emil hopes that the construction will be completed in one year.

It is planned that the groundbreaking of the toll road construction will be carried out in December 2022. This is Kang Emil's effort in realizing his promise to solve the mining truck problem in Bogor Regency, since he was sworn in as Governor of West Java in 2018.

"December (ground breaking) Insha Allah. Because the old one agreed with the (mine) owners. There are lots of interests. If there are no obstacles, in December we will ground breaking 13 kilometers. Kang Emil in Bogor recently.

Kang Emil admitted that tronton trucks transporting mining materials, in the form of sand and stones in Bogor Regency, caused many casualties. He hopes that by having a special route, it can reduce traffic accidents and fatalities in the Parungpanjang and Rumpin areas.

"If it is completed next year, God willing, there will be no more conflicts between public or private vehicles and stone trucks that have caused many casualties so far. Because the paths will be separated," said Kang Emil.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappedalitbang) of Bogor Regency, Suryanto Putra, explained that later the mine toll gates will be close to mining locations.

"The point is from Cigudeg. Later there will be five entrances to the mine site, thereby reducing the potential for mining trucks to pass on public roads," he explained.

According to him, each toll road entrance will be used for transporters for several mining companies operating in Bumi Tegar Beriman. "There will be around 30 mining business permits. So later they will enter the toll road, through to JOR III," he said.

Even so, he also studied the potential for social problems to arise. Such as the owners of the stalls to the 'pak averse' who will lose their income.

The good effect is that congestion problems, the risk of accidents and dust pollution from mining trucks will be reduced by the existence of this toll road.

"Only later, we have to study further in relation to social problems. People who have enjoyed it like stalls, sir, don't want what they want," said Suryanto.

While the land acquisition for the toll road construction, all mining business license owners have agreed to give some of their land to be used as toll roads, in addition to freeing up land belonging to the community.

"The owners of the mining business licenses are willing. Indeed, some community lands have been released, about 40 percent of which have been released in the mining areas. The point is that the owners of business licenses are ready to release their land for development," explained Suryanto.
