Corn Transport Truck Overturned on Jalan Medan Berastagi
Deli Serdang - A Colt Diesel truck carrying corn BK 8476 FI overturned on the Medan Berastagi highway, precisely in Batu Layang Village, 1 km before the Sibolangit gas station, Monday (3/10) at around 05.00 am.
The road was observed to be congested smoothly thanks to the alertness of the officers who had arrived at the location since this morning.
Aiptu Simanungkalit, a member of the Pancur Batu Traffic Police Unit, said the vehicle rolled over due to a broken axle.
"Just around the corner, the vehicle broke the axle, then the corn load was spilled on the road," said Simanungkalit.
He said there were no casualties, but the vehicles were forced to take turns causing traffic jams.
The journalists' monitoring of the traffic jam is not too long, but the driver is expected to be orderly so as not to increase the length of the traffic jam.
