Derailment incident of Semeru train and Argo Wilis train on Jalan Sentolo - Wates

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) apologizes for the disruption of service, due to the derailment of KA 17 Argo Semeru connecting Surabaya Gubeng - Gambir and KA 6 Argo Wilis connecting Bandung - Surabaya Gubeng, at KM 520 + 4 sections of road between Sentolo Station - Wates Station , on Tuesday (17/10), at 13.15.

"The two rail lines between Wates - Sentolo are temporarily impassable due to the accident. KAI is currently trying to evacuate passengers on the 2 trains that experienced the disaster," said EVP of Corporate Secretary KAI, Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji.

KAI's next effort is to evacuate 2 trains and repair damaged rail lines. For train journeys that will pass through the Wates - Sentolo area, KAI will make efforts to engineer operating patterns, in the form of detours and stop passes.
