Scoopy Hits Fuso Truck, A Pair of Students Dies
Medan - The traffic accident resulted in two people dying on the spot and another being hospitalized. The incident took place when a scooter BK 3150 AGB driven by 2 students crashed into a truck with police number BK 8595 XD on Jalan Medan-Tebingtinggi, to be precise in Hamlet II, Sei Sijenggi Village, Perbaungan, Sergai, Saturday (14/5/2002) approx. at 14.20 WIB.
At the time of the incident, the scoopy motorbike was driven by Agustian Achmad (25 years) a resident of Jalan Jangka, West Sei Putih Village, Medan Petisah District. As a result of the accident, the victim died while being treated at the Trianda RSU, Bengkel Village, after suffering bruises on his chest, a torn chin, blisters on his right and left knees. Meanwhile, his friend on the ride, Windi Septiani (22 years) resident of Jalan Pinang Baris Gang Pribadi, Neighborhood I, Sunggal Village, Medan Sunggal, who suffered a broken right hand, broken neck, fresh blood coming out of his mouth, also died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Fuso truck, Suhaimi (54 years old), a resident of Jalan Bersama, VIII Ward, Bandar Selamat Village, Medan Tembung District, did not suffer any injuries.

Head of Traffic Police Sergai AKP Ghandi SH through the Head of Traffic and Traffic Ipda R Helmi said the accident began when the Scoopy motorbike driven by Agustian Achmad came from Tebingtinggi to Medan. Arriving at the location, allegedly being careless when overtaking a Fuso diesel truck with an unknown number plate, the scoopy hit the truck driven by Suhaimi.
