Liquor Bottle Transport Box Truck, Hit the Dump Truck on the Gentong Road
Tasikmalaya - The traffic accident on Gentong Highway between the Box Truck D-8781-XL which hit the Dump Truck Z-9478-DA ended in tragedy.
The reason is, the incident caused two trucks to overturn on the motorcyclist and died at the scene. Worse, it turned out that the Box Truck was carrying hundreds of bottles of alcohol, Thursday (12/05/2022).
This was conveyed by the Head of the Gakkum Sat Traffic Police of Tasikmalaya City, Ipda Zezen Zaenal M, S.H. that the Box Truck loaded with alcohol was traveling from Bandung to Tasikmalaya, Friday (13/05/2022).
"The accident occurred when the Box Truck driven by Supardi alias Sandi (27) lost control and hit the Dump Truck driven by Yayan (52) and then rolled over on motorbike Ali Hadiansyah (41) a resident of Bandung and died at the scene," he said.
Information circulated that the driver of the Box Car Supardi alias Sandi (27), a resident of Coblong District, Garut Regency, was drunk, so he could not control his vehicle.
"Regarding his condition of being drunk or not, there is no evidence yet, but information was obtained that the Box Car driver (Supardi) admitted that he had previously drank palm wine and acil (little wine), and we are still investigating," he explained.
Meanwhile, Kasat Samapta Tasikmalaya City Police AKP Sunarto, S.Sos. explained that the Sat Samapta KRYD Team on duty at the Gentong Pospam helped evacuate victims and trucks and found hundreds of bottles of alcohol from the Box Truck.
"Sat Samapta personnel on standby at the Gentong Pospam helped evacuate victims as well as vehicles and found hundreds of bottles of alcohol from the Box Truck, then we secured the alcohol to the Resort Police Headquarters for further handling," he said.
As a result of the accident, for almost 2 hours the traffic flow was jammed from two directions when the officers evacuated the vehicle, then the Pospam Personnel and the KRYD Team carried out traffic engineering with an open and close system to break down the congestion. This accident case was handled by the Gakkum Unit of the Traffic Police of Tasikmalaya City, West Java, Indonesia.
