Responding to the Price Increase for Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex
The price of three types of Pertamina's non-subsidized fuel officially rose as of August 3, 2022, namely Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex. Responding to the price increase, Mitsubishi Marketing Director Fuso Duljatmono emphasized that he would continue to follow the government's direction.
Although, he added, the policy will have an impact on consumers.
"We see it as a component for vehicle operations that can increase costs, but Fuso cannot intervene. That is government policy," he said in a virtual press conference, Tuesday (16/8/2022).
Because it will have an impact on operational costs, he admitted, his party has prepared a strategy so that consumers are not so burdened. For example, by providing spare parts at affordable prices.
"What we can do is support consumer operations so that they continue to operate properly and if they really need support. The way is the convenience of spare parts, competitive prices so that operational costs can go down," he said.
Regarding the potential for the increase in operational costs, he admitted that he had not calculated in detail. In addition to the increase in fuel prices, the challenge is even greater because manufacturers must also follow government recommendations, especially in implementing the euro 4 emission standard.
"Euro 4 is in accordance with euro 4 technology, so the requirements are CN51. Incidentally what we have is Pertadex (Pertamina Dex). Usually we use diesel so Pertadex. Technologically and technically we recommend consumers to maintain performance with euro 4 fuel with CN51," said Duljatmono .
As is known, the price of non-subsidized Pertamina fuel has gone up. In DKI Jakarta, for example, the price of Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) increased from Rp. 16,200 per liter to Rp. 17,900, while Dexlite increased from Rp. 15,000 per liter to Rp. 17,800 per liter. Then, Pertamina Dex increased from Rp 16,500 per liter to Rp 18,900 per liter.
